Valentina Nicolotti has always been passionate about voice and in 2010 she started her academic career at the State Conservatory “Antonio Vivaldi” in Alessandria. In 2015, she attended the Advanced Training Course in Artistic Vocology at the University of Bologna and studied at the ModAi Academy in Turin. Since 2013, she has been vice-director of the SiFaSoul Singers youth choir.
In 2016 and 2017, she was the recipient of the ‘Talenti Musicali’ scholarship, Fondazione CRT – Conservatorio Statale “Giuseppe Verdi” – Turin. In 2018, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Jazz Singing at the State Conservatory “G. B. Martini” in Bologna. In the same year, she was a semi-finalist at the international jazz competition “Massimo Urbani”. In 2019, she perfected her talent in Switzerland, at the HEMU – Lausanne Conservatory.
She collaborates as a solo singer with various jazz ensembles. She recorded her first album Time, with the project Duo Sole; a guest project at the Word Harp Congress in Hong Kong in 2017. She is a singing teacher at various music schools and cultural associations. At the end of 2020, Calicantus, her first solo album, will be released on the Emme Record label.
