Caterina Arzani, from Alessandria, graduated in piano at the Conservatory of Music “A.Vivaldi” in Alessandria, with full marks and honours. She perfected her studies with Sergio Perticaroli, obtaining a diploma at the Accademia Nazionale di Alto Perfezionamento S.Cecilia in Rome, with a score of ten with honours, and later with Andrea Lucchesini at the Academy of Music in Pinerolo. She also obtained an honours degree in second level piano. Winner of numerous national and international competitions, she was awarded a scholarship for two consecutive years to attend the “Sommerakademie” at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, under the guidance of Sergio Perticaroli.
She gives concerts both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, in various concert seasons, including the International Chamber Music Festival of Cervo, Ravenna Festival, Chamber Music Review of Lugano, at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Camerata di Cremona, PianoCityMilano, Alba Music Festival, International Piano Festival of Spoleto, for the Eximia Forma Association in the concerts at Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome, at the Sala Paolina of Castel Sant’Angelo, and at Palazzo Venezia, and in Pavia, Bologna, Genoa, Villa Joiosa (Spain), Pistoia, Stresa, for the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice and, in the “Festival of Nations”, at Palazzo Mocenigo in Venice for the Romanian Radio Television
She has been invited to be President and jury member in several music competitions.
She had recorded Beethoven’s first concerto with the Orchestra della Compagnia d’Opera Italiana, for BMG Ricordi. She was awarded the title “Excelsius Musicae et Pacis nuntius” during the event “Eurofestival, emerging concert performers” held in Rome at Palazzo Venezia, under the patronage of the European Parliament and Unipax.
